Bucharest Apartment Sprinkled with Ingenious Design Ideas

This apartment in Bucharest, Romania, caught our attention thanks to the ingenious design ideas it puts on display. Discovered by Freshome on Designrulz , the 77 square-meter (828 square-foot) home is filled with light and storage solutions that maximize space. The owners of the apartment, a young couple with a passion for minimalism, embraced the idea of Scandinavian influences in their home. The task was passed on to the architects at CRAFTR , who creatively merged function and refinement in the design process. The living room is captivating to say the least. Your eyes are instantly drawn toward the window, which comes with an inspiring storage system. Moreover, the punctured areas below and above the glass hide away the heater and air conditioning system. The TV unit extends with a small sofa. This complements the dining table, which can expand to welcome more guests. If we’re to talk about other original features of this home, lighting is definitely one of them. In the living

‘Stranger Things’ Producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen on Making Season 2 of the Hit Series [Interview]

Right from the opening of  Stranger Things season 2, the hit Netflix series expands in scope. Once you reach the the Duffer Brothers-directed season finale, though, it’s clear they still kept the already beloved characters front and center. Matt and Ross know audiences are streaming and bingeing for Eleven ( Millie Bobby Brown ), Sherriff Hopper ( David Harbour ), and friends, not what lurks in the Upside Down. If demodogs, telekinesis, and all the mystery were removed from  Stranger Things , the Duffer brothers’ show would still have plenty going for it. “The rule of law for season two was characters first, characters last, characters all the way,” producer and director  Shawn Levy  recently told us, while speaking with him and his 21 Laps Entertainment producing partner, Dan Cohen . We spoke with the duo a few days before season 2 came to Netflix, so we had a non-spoiler talk about the making of the second season, the production schedule, how the series made Levy fall back in lov

HBO Picks Up Kit Harington Miniseries 'Gunpowder'

HBO loves Jon Snow. The cable network has bought the BBC One miniseries "Gunpowder," starring "Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington. The three-part series will air for consecutive nights starting on December 18. "Gunpowder" is based on the real-life events in the 17th century that led to Guy Fawkes Day. Harington plays Robert Catesby, the driving force behind the 1605 Gunpowder Plot in London. Catesby was a fervent Catholic during a time when Protestant England harshly persecuted those of his faith. The plan was to blow up the House of Lords on November 5, 1605 during Parliament's State Opening, killing King James I and then installing his 9-year-old daughter Princess Elizabeth as a Catholic Queen in his place. (History spoiler alert: The plan failed.) Interesting fact: Harington is actually a descendent of Catesby. "Gunpowder" also stars Mark Gatiss as the king's spymaster, Robert Cecil; Peter Mullan as a Jesuit priest; and Liv Tyle

‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Brings Much-Needed Zaniness (and Closure) to the MCU

By Matthew Monagle Just when you thought the MCU was out of surprises, director Taika Waititi and company deliver one of the best superhero movies of the decade. These days a brand new Marvel can feel somewhat like an obligation. Just like a long-running television series you’ve come too far to quite – where later seasons disappoint even as individual episodes are capable of shining – the bulk of films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe often feel like they’re taking up valuable real estate in your heart that could otherwise be spent on indie movies or prestige television. So I wouldn’t have been surprised to discover that  Thor: Ragnarok   was fine; what I wasn’t ready for, however, was one of the more fun comedies of the year, regardless of setting. Thor: Ragnarok  picks up from the events of  Thor: The Dark World , with a dimension-trotting Thor (Chris Hemsworth) returning home to discover his father (Anthony Hopkins) missing, his brother (Tom Hiddleston) still alive, and his siste
