I started off 2019 with a strong determination, an idea where I wanted to change my life and the lives of those who are very close to me. We know where we all ended but it wasn't an easy path to cross. I am Francois from ABDZ and this is my year in review. Right now, I am writing this article on a DB bus who departed from Munich, Germany and making its way to Zurich, Switzerland. Our new home country. The site became a regular daily refresh as I followed the development of the STAR WARS Prequels, as well as my other great love, THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Today we take fan sites for granted, but in the late 90s, Ain’t It Cool News was wholly unprecedented, and a Mecca for the like-minded. If you like the classic 1986 comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off , here’s a bit of trivia that’s been available for a while but may not be widely known, even among the film’s big fans. John Hughes ‘ classic comedy features a rivalry between Ferris Bueller ( Matthew Broderick ) and his sister Jeanie ( Jennifer Grey ). Since Ferris is babied by their parents, Jeanie has it out for him and can’t get over the fact that he gets to stay home sick, knowing full well that he’s faking his illness to play hooky. Last year,  Bird Box  became Netflix’s biggest hit movie, setting the streaming giant’s seven-day records and inspiring dangerous memes. The film, which stars Sandra Bullock , takes place in a post-apocalyptic world that has been overrun by monsters that cause people who look directly at them to kill themselves. For a movie that’s all about sight (or lack thereof),  Bird Box would have to rely heavily on sound. But one of the key composers behind that sound, Trent Reznor , who composed the  Bird Box  score alongside his frequent collaborator Atticus Ross , was not very happy with his experience working on the Netflix film.
