Denny's Is Promoting The Matrix So You Can See How Deep The Breakfast Menu Rabbit Hole Goes

Outside the Matrix, the only food is a protein gruel that the crew of the Nebuchadnezzar likened to "runny eggs" or, less flatteringly, "a bowl of snot." If you prefer your eggs fluffy and scrambled, then get ready to head back into the Matrix ... by way of Denny's. That's right, America. On Cyber Monday, everyone's favorite 24-hour dining option, Denny's, started a new promotion tied to the upcoming Warner Bros. movie release, "The Matrix Resurrections."  The promotion runs from now until January 4, 2022, and it will enable hungry cinephiles to jack into the Matrix through Denny's.com  or the restaurant's app. There, you'll experience the proverbial glitches in the Matrix, not as déjà vu, but as discounts and free menu items. From now until December 12, 2021, they're offering free delivery on digital orders. Since they do deliver, that means you could theoretically eat food from Denny's at home while watching "T

Why It Took 17 Years To Get Spider-Man On The Big Screen

At the end of this year, Tom Holland will be seen in " Spider-Man: No Way Home ," the anticipated  conclusion to his film trilogy  ( the first one, anyway ). When he debuted as the friendly, web-slinging neighborhood superhero in 2016, Holland played a small role in "Captain America: Civil War" before bagging his own superhero movie franchise. Since his cameo, the 25-year-old actor has reprised his role five times, which is more than both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield .  Tobey Maguire, who played the first big-screen Spidey starred in three films from Sam Raimi, is often regarded as the best "Spider-Man" actor. Though Maguire was in no way the right age for the role, he left no stone unturned in convincing us that he was great as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. I was all but five years old when I saw him at the movies, but I grew up watching Maguire as Spidey, so I'm probably biased when I say he's my favorite.  But as beloved as Maguire now is in

David Dalaithngu, The Beloved And Celebrated Aboriginal Actor, Has Died

Indigenous Australian actor David Dalaithngu passed away today at the age of 68 after battling lung cancer for four strenuous years. In a statement released Monday night, the south Australian premier, Steven Marshall, stated, "It is with deep sadness that I share with the people of South Australia the passing of an iconic, once-in-a-generation artist who shaped the history of Australian film and Aboriginal representation on screen. An actor, dancer, singer and painter, he was also one of the greatest artists Australia has ever seen." Dalaithngu was from the Mandhalpingu (Djilba) clan of the Yolngu people and raised in Arnhem land located in the Northern Territory of Australia. In his youth, he was an accomplished ceremonial dancer, tracker, and hunter. At only 16 years old, his dancing technique caught the eye of filmmaker Nicolas Roeg who was in Maningrida scouting film locations. Roeg cast Dalaithngu as the principal role in his 1971 film "Walkabout" which tells

Pen15 Season 2 Will End The Series

Sad news for my mutual fans of nostalgic coming-of-age shows about junior high in the 2000s starring full-grown adult women, as Hulu's Emmy-nominated "Pen15" is closing up shop following the release of the second half of season 2 . The series created by and starring Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle as their 13-year-old selves will come to a close on December 3, 2021. The decision comes not from Hulu or Awesomeness TV, who produce the show, but from Erskine and Konkle, who are looking to take a break from the series. Allegedly, Hulu is still interested in working with the duo on other projects and are allowing for the possibility of future seasons of the show if Erskine and Konkle ever feel the need to return to the characters. In a profile released in The New Yorker , the comedy team noted they had planned on "Pen15" ending after three seasons. But with the pandemic delaying filming and releasing the now final seven episodes , that time is being cut short. "P

Secret Headquarters: Release Date, Cast, And More

( Welcome to ... And More , our no-frills, zero B.S. guide to when and where you can watch upcoming movies and shows, and everything else you could possibly stand to know. ) 2022 is poised to be a huge comeback year for theatrically-released movies. While many in the industry had hoped that 2021 would be the year for that, the recovery has been a bit slower than expected. But Hollywood has much up its sleeve, and moviegoers are the ones who are going to win. Yes, we're going to get plenty of franchise entries like "Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness" and "Jurassic World: Dominion," but there are quite a few original flicks coming down the pipeline as well. One such example that might be flying under the radar a bit is "Secret Headquarters," a family action/comedy that stars a certain wedding crasher in the lead role, and we're here to give you all of the need-to-know info. Here is everything you need to know about "Secret Headquar

New Spider-Man Trilogy In The Works From Sony And Marvel, Tom Holland To Stick Around

Last night, tickets for "Spider-Man: No Way Home" went on sale ahead of the threequel's highly anticipated release. Based on how quickly ticketing websites crashed due to overwhelming amounts of traffic and enormous wait times (for those lucky enough to even get that far, of course), the public's interest in this latest "Spider-Man" outing -- which boasts a handful of familiar villains ripped straight out of the multiverse and from two decades of "Spider-Man" cinematic canon --  has put "No Way Home" squarely in the realm of a blockbuster event movie. The enduring popularity of Peter Parker as a character, and particularly Tom Holland's version of the hero, made it that much more alarming when rumors arrived a few years ago that the unprecedented rights-sharing deal between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios may have come to an unceremonious end . That crisis was narrowly avoided , thankfully, and now the future of Spider-Man looks to
