Rope Hanging Planter

Available in five colorways and two different sizes, this hanging planter is handmade by Brooklyn’s Closed Mondays. A more sophisticated take on the oftentimes kitsch macramé version, this elegant iteration is made entirely of rope. COOL HUNTING https://ift.tt/2reoKJ4 November 29, 2018 at 06:59PM

The Natvral: Home

The Pains of Being Pure At Heart’s Kip Berman—working under the solo moniker The Natvral—dropped a debut solo EP earlier this year. From it, the heartfelt track “Home” now gets a music video, directed by Remy Holwick. From upturned roses and an all-around pink palate, there’s over-the-top folk nostalgia here—and it works with a wink to the audience. COOL HUNTING https://ift.tt/2TXHsS3 November 29, 2018 at 06:35PM

Sherrie Silver’s Stunning Choreography for the National AIDS Trust Campaign

With Erasure’s “A Little Respect,” narration from Stephen Fry and stunning choreography by Sherrie Silver (the mind behind the moves in Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” video), this James Fitzgerald-directed short was created to raise awareness for the UK’s National AIDS Trust—just ahead of World AIDS Day, 1 December. Following Silver through an empty gym as she dances, the film makes clever and creative use of … COOL HUNTING https://ift.tt/2zr2Kz5 November 29, 2018 at 05:14PM

Notes: Sunrise to Sunset GT

The first time behind the wheel of a McLaren is a euphoric adventure West Hollywood’s Sunset GT is an ambitious gathering of ludicrous machinery in the heart of a town where ludicrous is the name of the game. Every second Sunday morning (from 9AM to 11AM), Sunset Plaza is full of supercars, hypercars, classics and more—and too many auto enthusiasts to count. I’ve been to countless … COOL HUNTING https://ift.tt/2E2wyGf November 29, 2018 at 12:00PM

2006 Palmes d’Or

Elegant and creamy, this champagne’s allure lies in a subtle and more accessible effervescence. Made by France’s number one selling champagne brand domestically, Nicolas Feuillatte, it’s a balanced blend—equal parts pinot noir and chardonnay—that’s nuanced but bright. Whether drinking it as an aperitif or with food (think seafood, fish, or even citrus desserts), this is a wine to share with loved ones. The dramatic, textured … COOL HUNTING https://ift.tt/2QsBgmq November 29, 2018 at 11:03AM

Sarah Ellison Design Studio.

Here we are again with another edition of “Aussies Designing Exquisitely Beautiful Things.” I am absolutely smitten with designer and interior stylist Sarah Ellison’s work. Sarah worked as a professional stylist for more than 10 years, started her furniture and homewares label in 2017, and was also Style Editor at Real Living magazine from 2010-2017. She’s based in Bondi Beach, which is probably the Santa Monica of Sydney, and she certainly infuses that distinctive Australian warmth and casual, beachy spirit into the geometric, curvy and almost futuristic shapes of her furniture and ceramic tiles. As a Florida native, this is what I imagine (or hope) chic, beachside condos will look like in 2030! should you like her style, be sure to visit her online shop and instagram feed , too. cheers, ezz . • photography by Dave Wheeler . An Exhibition Devoted to Urban Cycling

The Design Museum of Chicago is exhibiting a gathering of drawings telling much about the use of bicycle in urban places. After the rise of urban sports such as parkour, which is to be watched in video clips broadcasted on TV by sports brands, reconverting the city in a playground seems at stake in the minds of artists and designers of our time. With a touch of humour, drawers gathered at the exhibition are exploring the daily experience of bikes users : stealing, speed, customization, over passengering, looks and attitudes. Drawings styles are multiple, calling upon abstract art and press drawing.
